Our Story
Founded in 1997 by two visionary entrepreneurs, Mr. Mashaan Abdul Rahman Al Mashaan and Mr. Babu Varghese, Al Mashaan General Trading & Contracting for Buildings Co. was built on a shared commitment to integrity, reliability, and excellence. Recognizing the growing need for a trusted supplier of high quality industrial products, they set out to create a company that would set new standards in service and expertise.
What began as a modest venture has evolved into a leading brand, proudly serving clients across Kuwait and the GCC. Our reputation is rooted in quality, innovation, and an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction.
Driven by rapid growth and market demand, we achieved a major milestone with the establishment of our Warehouse in Mina Abdullah, spanning 11,000m² and housing over 40,000+ products. A testament to our expanding capabilities.
As our operations matured, so did our standards. In 2017, our commitment to quality was formally recognized with ISO 9001:2015 certification. Continuing this trajectory, 2022 marked the opening of our Corporate Headquarters in Al Rai, featuring 1,000m² of Office space, a Retail Showroom and a 1,300m² Store, further enhancing our reach and efficiency.
Today with a legacy of over 25 years, we have proudly served more than 1,000+ clients across Kuwait and the GCC’s most vital sectors, including Oil & Gas, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC, and Government Ministries. Our journey reflects a steadfast commitment to delivering excellence in every product, every service and every time.
Our Founders
Mr. Mashaan Abdul Rahman Al Mashaan
An accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with decades of experience across diverse sectors. A proud alumnus of Kuwait University, he graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science. Immediately after graduation, he began his professional career, gaining valuable insights and expertise in varied business domains.
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and driven by a deep passion for contributing to Kuwait’s growth story, he embarked on his own entrepreneurial journey in 1992. Over the years, he has successfully established and managed various business ventures, demonstrating resilience, innovation, and strategic vision. This led to the founding of Al Mashaan General Trading & General Contracting for Buildings Co. in the year 1997.
As a leader, he believes that integrity, innovation, and long-term partnerships are the cornerstones of sustainable success. His leadership philosophy centres on building trust with clients and empowering employees, fostering an environment where collaboration and excellence thrive.
Mr. Babu Varghese
A visionary entrepreneur and community leader whose life embodied integrity, dedication, and service. A graduate of the University of Pune, India, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, he began his career in 1971 as a chemist at Sudarshan Chemicals, Pune, where he also represented workers and championed their interests. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to launch small ventures in clothing accessories and insurance.
In 1977, he moved to Kuwait, where he built over two decades of expertise in mechanical engineering products and earned respect for his professionalism and leadership. Driven by a passion to create opportunities and make a positive impact, he founded Al Mashaan General Trading & General Contracting for Buildings Co., laying the foundation for a company committed to excellence and customer service.
Beyond business, Mr. Babu Varghese was deeply devoted to social welfare and charitable initiatives, serving in key community roles to drive meaningful change.
Sadly though he is no longer with us, his legacy of vision, integrity, and service continues to inspire and guide our organization every day.
