How to Market a Business on LinkedIn: A Practical Guide for Kuwait

LinkedIn works for business marketing when you treat it as a place to be useful for people, not a place to advertise. Most company pages go quiet because they only post announcements nobody asked for. Here is a simple way to run a page that brings in real enquiries.

Finish the page before you post anything

A half-filled page loses trust in seconds. Before your first post, complete every field: logo, cover image, tagline, industry, company size, location, website link and a custom button such as Visit website or Contact us.

Write the About section in plain language, and use the words your audience actually search for. If you supply industrial pipes in Kuwait, say that in the first line. LinkedIn pages show up in Google results, so this section does real work for your search visibility.

In Kuwait your audience is bilingual, so add Arabic language as well. LinkedIn lets a page admin add up to 20 languages for your page name, tagline and description, and visitors see the version that matches their own language setting. Use proper Arabic writing, not machine translation.

Decide what you will post before you start posting

Split your content into three buckets and keep them balanced.

  • Useful: Advice that helps your buyer do their job. How to choose between two products, what a standard means, what goes wrong on site.

  • Proof: Work you have delivered, sectors you serve, certifications you hold, stock you carry.

  • People: Your team, your workplace, hiring, and how you handle busy periods.

The rule of thumb is simple. For every post that sells, publish three or four that teach or show your team. A page that only sells gets scrolled past.

Write posts the way people read them

LinkedIn hides everything after the first two or three lines behind a "see more" link. Those lines decide whether anyone reads the rest, so put your main point first. No long build-up, keep required paragraphs to one or two lines.

Put your team to work

This is the step most companies skip, and it is the one that changes results. A single page with 800 followers cannot outreach 25 staff with 500 connections each.

Ask your team to keep their profiles current, follow the page and comment on posts. Comments carry more weight than likes.

Post steadily, not constantly

One or two posts a week is plenty. Being consistent for a year beats posting daily for a month and then stopping.

Post Sunday to Thursday, in the morning between 10:00AM to 12:00PM, when most people are at their desks. Skip Friday and Saturday. During Ramadan, shift your timing later to match the working day.

Check what is working, once a month

Four numbers are enough: follower growth, post impressions, engagement rate and clicks to your website. Ignore anything else for now.

Look for the pattern rather than the score. If technical advice posts get three times the engagement of company news, write more technical advice. Let the numbers pick your topics.

One honest note on paid ads. LinkedIn advertising costs more per click than almost any other channel, so earn your reach organically first. Only pay once you know which content people respond to the most.

Start with the basics

None of this needs a big budget. It needs a complete page, a clear idea of what you will post, and the discipline to keep going for six months.
