Bucket / Basket Strainers (Mud Box)

A Bucket or Basket Strainer, also called a Mud Box, is a pipeline filter that uses a large, removable basket-shaped screen to catch dirt, scale, and debris from the flow. Its bigger basket holds far more debris than a Y strainer, so it suits systems with heavy contamination and needs cleaning less often.
