Foot Valves

Assorted brass foot valves with strainers, used at pump suction lines to retain prime and block debris.

Foot Valves are specialized one-way check valves equipped with an integrated intake strainer, installed at the lowest point of a pump suction line. They operate by allowing fluid to lift the internal poppet or flapper during pump suction and automatically snap shut via gravity or a spring when the pump stops.
